EASY DIY HAIR MASKS FOR CURLY HAIR

Want hydrated, strengthened hair without any frizz? Then this week's post sharing our favorite, easy DIY hair masks hair might be just what you're looking for! So raid your kitchen supplies and treat your curly hair to an all natural treatment without breaking the bank! 


Avocado Hair Mask - Great for smoothing frizzy hair!


Avocados aren't just super tasty (especially when made into guac and served with chips...mmm), avocados are also great for your hair! They're full of protein, natural oils, and nutrients which is a great treatment for damaged and frizzy hair.

You will need:

1 Avocado
1 Egg (for extra protein and strengthening)
1 Tablespoon of Honey
1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil

Directions:

Step 1: Mix all of your ingredients together making sure to mash the avocado as smooth as possible.
Step 2: Apply the mixture to your hair after shampooing and let it sit for 15/20 minutes.
Step 3: Rinse it out, dry your hair, and style as usual.


Strawberry-Protein Hair Mask - Great for damaged hair!

Strawberries provide hydration to damaged, thirsty hair, add shine to lifeless hair and when applied to the scalp they also can be used as a mild treatment for scalp irritation such as dandruff. Mix them with eggs and you've got a supercharged protein treatment that will strengthen your hair!

You will need:

5/6 Large Strawberries
1 Egg
1 Tablespoon of Honey

Directions:

Step 1: Mash the strawberries. (You may want to use a blender for this as you want the strawberries to be as smooth as possible. Trust us, washing lumpy bits of strawberry out of your hair is not fun!)
Step 2: Combine the egg and honey with your blended strawberries. Mix well.
Step 3: Apply this mixture to wet or dry hair. Leave it on for 20 minutes.
Step 4: Rinse it out, dry your hair, apply leave-in conditioner and style as usual.


Honey Hair Mask - Great for dry hair!

Honey has humectant properties meaning that it helps to retain moisture, it's also an emollient so it will leave your hair feeling silky and looking shiny. How's that for sweet!

You will need:

1/2 Cup of Honey
3 Tablespoons of Coconut Oil (preferably the hard kind)

Directions:

Step 1: If you have hard coconut oil soften it first before moving on to the next step.
Step 2: Once softened, combine the honey and coconut oil.
Step 3: Apply the mixture to your hair after shampooing and let it sit for 15/20 minutes.
Step 4: Rinse it out, dry your hair, apply leave-in conditioner and style as usual.
